Paso Robles Physical Therapy Staff
The staff at Paso Robles Physical Therapy has over 100 years of combined experience in physical and occupational therapy. Their diverse background includes training in treating conditions as varied as sports injuries, strokes and neurological disorders, vestibular dysfunction, back and neck pain disorders, shoulder, hip, knee and ankle rehabilitation. Their training encompasses techniques including strength training, joint mobilization, soft tissue mobilization, ergonomics, balance and vestibular rehabilitation, and neuromuscular facilitation. Since the emphasis of treatment here is assessment of dysfunction, the one-on-one care is essential in accomplishing beneficial outcomes for our patients. Through ongoing post-graduate training, our staff stays at the cutting edge of our respective fields.

Tony Wallace PT
Tony Wallace, PT, owner and director of PRPT, was born and raised in Southern California. He graduated from Long Beach State with a BS in physical therapy in 1980. After starting his career at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach, he decided to transplant to the California Central Coast in 1982. Bringing his wife and two boys, he settled in Atascadero and went to work at Twin Cities Hospital. He and Lisa added two more boys along the way and love living on the Central Coast. The boys are grown and now there are grandsons to enjoy!

After directing another private PT office in Paso Robles for 13 years, he decided to strike out on his own. The result is Paso Robles Physical Therapy. Tony has had extensive experience in treating all manner of orthopedic difficulties over the years. "I love it all. Everyone is unique and every problem offers a unique challenge for recovery". Of particular interest is acute and recurrent back and neck pain conditions.

Tony has stayed on the leading edge of out-patient rehabilitation through continuing education courses and journal reading as well as an ongoing dialogue with the staff of PRPT. The environment in the clinic is fun and challenging. "I think of PRPT as a family. We love working together."

Maria Allen, PT
Maria Allen, PT grew up in Santa Maria and graduated from CSU Fresno with a degree in Physical Therapy in 1983. She moved to Orange County and practiced in a variety of therapy settings primarily with neurologically involved adults and children before moving to Atascadero in 2000. While in Orange County she was very well respected by the rehabilitation community, even earning the "Outstanding Physical Therapist of the Year" in 1996, awarded by the APTA (American Physical Therapy Association) of Orange County. Since joining PRPT, Maria has directed the "neuro" therapy and also has a special interest in and ability to treat balance and vestibular disorders.

She has 3 wonderful, very active older children that continue to keep her extremely busy. She enjoys working one on one with her patients and their families to improve the quality of their lives.

Donna Randall, PT
Donna Randall, PT has been working with us at PRPT since 2006. She was born and raised in Southern California. She graduated from San Jose State University with a degree in Kinesiology and in Cognitive and Biological Psychology in 1995. She then received her PT education in the Netherlands in 1998 and has a great interest in manual therapy related to orthopedics. After completing internships in the Netherlands and Tucson, AZ, she worked in New York before returning to California in 2000. She enjoys working at PRPT because she is able to give her patients one-on–one care. She is loved by her patients and the staff here at PRPT.

She and her daughter enjoy traveling when they can. Otherwise, they enjoy hiking, camping and the beaches of the Central Coast. She also enjoys reading, gardening, music and is learning to play guitar/piano.

Kristen Goetsch, MPT
Kristen Goetsch, MPT is our newest addition to the professional staff at PRPT. Kristen grew up in San Luis Obipso and graduated from UCSF/SFSU in 2006 with her Masters in physical therapy. She moved after graduation to Wisconsin and has been practicing in a large outpatient orthopedic clinic. Kristen also has experience in the acute care setting and inpatient rehabilitation. She was recently married and moved back to the beautiful Central Coast. She enjoys treating all ages and types of orthopedic patients.

Her hobbies include volleyball, reading, camping, hiking and spending time with family and friends.

Pat Alexander, OTR
Patricia Alexander, OTR is a second-generation California native whose family settled on a ranch north of Cayucos in 1966. She received a BS degree in Occupational Therapy from USC in 1981. Through these years she has worked full time in this multi faceted profession pursuing the variety of work it offers. Some of these positions include Mental Health and Crisis Intervention; Training the disabled and homeless disabled to live independently; Training instructors to teach the visually impaired to be independent; Therapy for multi-disabled children using the modality of vaulting on horses; Hand Therapy; Rehabilitation in Home Health Programs, Convalescent Hospitals, Transitional Living Programs, Hospital Rehabilitation Programs and now in this Out Patient Clinic offering an opportunity to specialize in neurological rehabilitation. Her varied and extensive experience is a real asset to PRPT.

Matthew Brannon, PTA
Matthew Brannon, PTR was born and raised in Santa Maria and attended local schools. After initiating his work career in the automotive field he decided to change professions in 1993 and graduated from PSI in Santa Barbara, becoming a licensed physical therapist assistant. His initial work experience included six years at Sierra Vista Hospital working in acute therapy... He has been at PRPT since 2002 bringing a wealth of experience both professionally and in life. Matthew has an interest in geriatrics and treats orthopedic and neuro patients.

He lives in Paso Robles with his wife. Matthew has two children and two grandchildren. He loves going on long motorcycle rides with his wife, playing softball and spending time with the grandkids.

JoAnn Vargas
JoAnn was born and raised in Atascadero and now lives in San Miguel. She has three grown daughters, and a bundle of grandchildren. She graduated from Pacific Coast Massage School, SLO in 1997. She has worked with Tony for over 20 years. She is currently our office manager and in charge of our in house billing department.


Elora Hartmann
Elora Hartmann is the office assistant at PRPT. She has lived in Paso Robles for the duration of her life. She enjoys photography and outdoor activities. Before she joined sT she was a caregiver at an Alzheimer's and Dementia facility. She also worked as an in home private caregiver. During that time she also worked in her own office for two years at Cuesta College. Her dream is to one day travel as much as she can and see as much wildlife as possible. Elora looks forward to assisting you at your next visit to the office.
